Understanding Unbelief: Outreach

Understanding Unbelief’s focus on outreach had two strands. First, to fund a number of projects led by creatives, curators and content makers aimed at building public engagement with questions and issues around non-belief. Secondly, to recognise outstanding journalism and reporting on non-religion through a media award.

Together these initiatives have supported and celebrated a diverse range of insightful, creative and entertaining work including film and radio documentaries, photographic and audio essays, journalism and classroom resources.

Understanding Unbelief Media Prize

Projects submitted for the media award received no production funding from Understanding Unbelief and all submissions were judged by an independent panel of industry experts. Our thanks to the judges and to everyone who submitted work for the prize.
