Resources Overview

While relatively little scholarly research was published on the nature, diversity, and causes of non-belief in the latter half of the 20th century, the last 15 years has seen a dramatic growth in this area, producing a substantial amount of academic and creative work. This literature helps guide our research on the Explaining Atheism programme.

Here, you will find many resources to better understand atheism, agnosticism, and other forms of non-belief. Some have been produced by the Explaining Atheism programme and its predecessors — Understanding Unbelief and Scientific Study of Non-religious Belief — while others have been produced by our colleagues across a diverse set of disciplines.
