Esther Chan’s work explores diversity within different social institutions, such as religion, education, and science. She is a mixed methodologist and uses quantitative and qualitative research methods to examine issues of race, gender, and sexuality in different institutional contexts. Her current research examines the intersections of race, religion, and higher education.
